Essential cookies (always on)
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other sites, and we do not need consent for them.
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID or similar): keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. Ends when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
- Remember me (remember_me): only if you tick it at sign-in, to keep you signed in on that device.
- Journalist workspace session: keeps a journalist signed in after using a sign-in link.
- tsr_persona: remembers, for 30 days, how you said you would use the service, so setup matches. Not used for tracking.
- tsr_consent: remembers your cookie choices below for about six months, shared between thesourceradar.com and members.thesourceradar.com.
- Theme (local storage): remembers light or dark mode.
- Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived token on forms to tell people from bots.
Analytics and marketing (only if you agree)
We use Google Tag Manager to load these tags, and none of them run until you say yes:
- Analytics (Google Analytics): how the site is found and used, so we can improve it, and which pages lead to sign-ups.
- Marketing (Google Ads and other advertising platforms we advertise on): measuring whether our adverts work and letting those platforms recognise you. Nothing is sold to data brokers.
These providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address and browsing information; see their privacy policies. We honour your choice through Google Consent Mode, so declining leaves those signals denied.
Change your mind at any time: , which is also at the foot of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
